"Dr. H. N. National College of Engineering - Established in 2024 Dr. H. Narasimhaiah (1920-2005) was a distinguished visionary, teacher, and educationist with a profound scientific temper. He served as the President of the National Education Society of Karnataka, an institution inspired by nationalistic ideals. Rising to the zenith of his career, Dr. H. N. became the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bangalore. His invaluable contributions to education were recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award, bestowed by the Government of India. He was also honored with the 'Tamrapatra' award for freedom fighters and the 'Rajyotsava Prashasti' by the Government of Karnataka. Additionally, Kannada University, Hampi, conferred upon him the title of ‘Nadoja’, and the University of Gulbarga awarded him an Honorary D.Litt in recognition of his meritorious service to the cause of education. The National Education Society (NES) continues to progress, guided by the visionary ideals of Dr. H. Narasimhaiah.
