Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RGIT) centrally located in the heart of the city and is established by Sir. M. Visvesvaraya Education Trust, with the objective of providing quality education in the ?eld of Technology and thereby serving the society. It has reached privileged level of excellence in technical education in the State of Karnataka. Achieving excellence in education is the main aim of RGIT. It has always been at the forefront of skill oriented modern technology and has the Specialty of being one among the top Colleges to introduce a full-?edged degree in Biomedical and Engineering in Karnataka under VTU. The college makes efforts to integrate socially relevant issues into the curriculum with the help of the different cells functioning in the college like Career Guidance Cell, Equal Opportunity Cell, Student Welfare Cell, Anti-Ragging Cell, SC/ST Cell.The Academic Audit Committee ensure quality enhancement. IQAC has been organizing Faculty Development Programme every year to enhance the professional competency and teaching pedagogy of the faculty.The residential facility at RGIT is complete with a stylish cafeteria catering about 400 students, A fully equipped gymnasium, emergency medical facility with residential medical staff, visiting counselor and a communication center and mini-store for assisting the students with their daily needs.
