Rao Bahadur Y.Mahabaleswarappa Engineering College (Formerly Vijayanagara Engineering College) is established in the year 1980, under the aegis of the Veerasaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Ballari. The college is built over an area of 53 acres with built up area of 25000 sq. meters. Rao Bahadur Y. Mahabaleswarappa Engineering College has grown to one of the reputed Engineering Colleges in Karnataka and has contributed thousands of engineers to the society who have carved name for themselves in various fields in India and abroad. The Institute is affiliated to VTU, Belagavi, Approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The institute offers 8 UG, 5 PG programs including MBA and 7 Research centers.
