Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur was established in 1963, founded and nurtured by Dr.Sree Sree Sivakumara Swamiji with a noble cause of providing quality education whose vision is carried forward by His Holiness Sree Sree Siddalinga Swamigalu, President, Sree Siddaganga Education Society. SIT offers 13 B.E. and 12 PG programmes. 15 research centres are recognised by VTU to offer Ph.D. programmes and received grants over Rs.40 crores for pursuing sponsored projects. Our partnership with corporates through 60+ MoUs, enabled us to offer industry ready curriculum and to gain hands-on experience by the students. SIT has students exchange program with international universities viz. Florida University for higher studies and research. 140 companies visit SIT, for hiring resulting in 250+ paid internship and 90% placement. We have best infrastructure with well-equipped labs, class rooms, hostels for boys and girls, sprawling playground, auditorium, etc enabling overall students’ development.
